Oh, and in other news, last night at The Rock Church (http://www.therocksandiego.org) where I go, Jon Kitna, from the Detroit Lions, spoke. I guess the pastor of my church (miles mcpherson, an ex San Diego Charger) and he go way back so Miles kind of interviewed Kitna about what it is like to be a Christian in the NFL. I don't really follow the Lions anymore considering their AWFUL record but according to my little brother, he isn't very good at football (or in his words when i told him Kitna was their: "tell him he sucks"), but his testimony was pretty cool and it was fun to watch two NFL players talk together about what being a Christian means for them in that culture.

After months of making everyone in Michigan jealous of the beautiful San Diego weather and rubbing it in their faces, I am finally getting the payback I deserve in the form of lots of snow, rain, and cold. Winter finally decided to come to the San Diego mountains in mid-February....just in time for my parents to visit this coming weekend! :( Bummer. I am really praying and hoping that it clears up just a little bit so that I can show them all the beautiful places that I love to spend time at. San Diego just isn't the same place in the cold and rain :(. But, no matter what the weather is, I am really looking forward to spending some time with my parents and showing them around my home for the past 6 months. 6 months, can you believe it??? I can't! Part of me feels like I just left Michigan yesterday. And then the other part of me feels like its been forever and that I am ready to come home and get started on nursing school...
